Placing an Order

We are happy to make exchanges and refunds provided that the product has not been used or damaged. To return product bought at a one of our retail locations, please return your merchandise in its original condition, with a copy of the sales invoice, within 30 days for a full refund, exchange or credit - you decide. To return product bought online or through mail order, please follow the steps below.
Online/Mail Order Return/Exchange Process
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Delivery speeds are affected by a range of factors from destination, method of shipment, special product availability, etc. In most cases, orders are delivered to major Canadian and US population centres within five to eight business days using standard shipping methods.
Please note that the shipment of some items into the United States is restricted. These products include ingestibles and some alcohol-based products. The delivery of these kinds of items requires specific government paperwork to be completed before a delivery can occur. Unfortunately, general orders for these restricted products cannot be fulfilled. If you do place an order using the website and your delivery address is for outside of Canada or the Continental United States your order will not ship until one of our representatives can contact you to determine the best shipping methods for your needs.
As well, your order may be subject to local Customs Fees, local import Duties, and Brokerage Fees. These fees vary depending upon the nature of your order and are typically due at the time of delivery. First Place Feeds does not manage these fees or have control over them and they are not paid to First Place Feeds. Disagreements over these fees must be taken up with the appropriate authorities and in the event of a shipment being refused/returned the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost. We recommend that you check with your local authorities to determine what items are subject to various import and customs duties.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Please note that the delivery times and rates above are subject to change without notice. As well, there are certain events outside of First Place Feeds control that may impact on shipping times and rates and First Place Feeds cannot be held responsible for these. These may include but are not limited to: acts of God, labour disruptions, impositions by Governments and/or their agents, unforeseen international events such as war, etc.
